HOW-TO GUIDES
WEBSITE & SERVER HELPAccount, login & security
Signing in
Use your ViciousNetwork username or email on the Login page. Your website session controls Dashboard, Messages, Support Tickets and server access.
Profile & security
Open Profile from your username menu to change account information, password, avatar and public-profile settings. Security-sensitive actions are disabled while an administrator is using View As.
Public profile privacy
Choose whether your member profile is public. You can separately choose which owned or managed servers appear on the profile; only explicitly public-safe server details are shown.
Messages & notifications
Private messages
Open Messages from your username menu or use the Message button on another member profile. Conversations update automatically while the page is open.
Unread alerts
The bell includes unread website notifications and private messages. The Messages item in your username menu also displays an unread badge.
Ordering & My Orders
Ordering a server
Choose Order a Server, configure the hosting plan, and submit the order. Track provisioning and status from My Orders.
Provisioning
Once provisioned, your server appears in the Dashboard and server control area. Order/account information is never published on public member profiles.
Server control panel
Status
View live server state and, when permitted, start, stop or restart the server.
Console
Use the Console page for live server console output and commands when your role has console permission.
Server Settings & Game Configuration
Server Settings covers common instance settings. Game Configuration provides searchable game-specific settings and writes supported values back through AMP.
Backups & Activity
Backups manages available server backups. Activity shows server-related activity visible to your account.
File Manager
Browsing files
The server-scoped File Manager operates through AMP rather than exposing the web host filesystem. Browse permission is separate from modify permission.
Editing & uploads
Authorized users can edit text files, upload multiple files with drag-and-drop, rename items, create folders, download files, and use supported archive/extract/copy actions.
Safety
Path traversal and sensitive paths are blocked. If an item is unavailable, confirm your server-manager permissions with the server owner.
Server managers & permissions
Adding a manager
A server owner can assign an existing ViciousNetwork user from the Managers page. Managers always sign in with their own website account; AMP credentials are not shared.
Permission presets
Owners can use Full Manager, Operator or View Only, then adjust individual permissions such as console, settings, files, backups and activity.
Sidebar visibility
Manager server menus hide sections the manager cannot access. Owners and authorized staff retain their appropriate access.
Public profiles
Profile details
You can publish a display name, headline, bio, website and Discord identity. Website links are limited to HTTP/HTTPS and bios are displayed as plain text.
Selected servers
You decide which eligible owned or managed servers appear. Losing access to a managed server removes it from your eligible public selection automatically.
Support tickets
Opening a ticket
Sign in, select Open a Ticket, choose the closest category and priority, and describe the issue. Include the page name, server name and exact error message when relevant, but never send passwords or secret tokens.
Replies & status
Your tickets are private between your account and authorized ViciousNetwork staff. Staff replies create a website notification. You can continue the thread or mark the ticket resolved/closed.
Admin & staff tools
Permissions
Staff access is controlled through granular ViciousNetwork permissions. Administrative pages only appear when the signed-in account has the required permission.
Support queue
Authorized administrators can open Support Tickets from the account menu or Admin tools, review the queue, reply, and change ticket status.
View As
View As is for troubleshooting account visibility. Sensitive writes such as private messaging and ticket changes remain blocked during impersonation.
Troubleshooting checklist
Hard-refresh the page, confirm you are signed into the intended account, verify the correct server is selected, and check whether the action is hidden because of manager permissions. When opening a ticket, include what you clicked, what you expected, what happened, and the exact error text.
